Teachers will learn to create a comfortable learning environment with activities that relax students through movement, vocalization, visualization, interpersonal communication and intrapersonal exploration:  all intricate elements to the development of good dramatic enactment. 

Teachers will then be guided through research of historical documents and the creation of simple dialogue elaborating the event.  Consideration of the hero’s journey, period costume, environment, and character development will be emphasized.  Educators participating in active learning by creating a presentation of their own and discovering the depth of learning provided through drama will be confident facilitating experiences for their students.  Participating teachers will be capable of enriching student understanding by guiding improvisation in thoroughly developed lessons or simply "off the cuff." 

The “Living History Festival” will be introduced as an opportunity for educators to involve their students in creative competition.  This provides transforming experience for learning history.  An Internet discussion will be hosted to provide continual support for teachers throughout their “Living History” learning and implementation.
