Focus on Ohio Curriculum Models
The current research concerning assessment is generally supportive of State and National standards. However, the issues that are coming into focus include the inability of students to transfer the knowledge learned by studying specific subject matter into other related applications. Students need to receive the feedback necessary to address the worthy standards for assessment. Students must have as their goal “to get good at worthy tasks.” This is according to assessment expert Grant Wiggins, Ed.D., author of “Understanding By Design.”
